Intro

A vital piece of equipment in many large animal practices across the country, the Pulsator V plays a crucial role in safe and efficient cattle handling. But, like any other precision tool, its performance depends on proper setup. Whether you are new to using the Pulsator V or just need a refresher, understanding how to correctly install the battery, initialize, and maintain the Pulsator’s power system is essential for keeping your workflow smooth and your livestock patients safe.

Initializing and Charging the Battery on a Pulsator V

  1. Plug the charger into a 110V outlet and confirm the green light is on.
  2. Plug the charger into the Pulsator, tighten the retainer ring while pushing the connector in firmly.
  3. Turn the Pulsator ON. The LEDs will light, and the charge status LEDs will blink from right to left.
  4. Turn the Pulsator OFF. The charge status LEDs will continue to blink from right to left. This will indicate the Pulsator is charging.
  5. Charging is complete when all the charge status LEDs remain solid green.
  6. Only recharge the Pulsator when one red charge status LED remains on.

Tips

  1. Charging the Pulsator V battery usually takes 3-4 hours.
  2. The Pulsator V is different than the Pulsator IV. Make sure to familiarize yourself with the different charging methods on both machines if you use both.
  3. It is not advisable to charge the Pulsator V after each use.
  4. When only one charge status LED remains, this is about 25% battery life. You should be able to use the Pulsator V for 150-200 more collections before the battery runs out.
  5. The Pulsator V can be used while plugged in. It will continue to charge and operate as it should.
